2024 Reflections: Realign Your Human Design Strategy

A look back to look forward

In 2025, vital energy will focus on fighting for your beliefs. I am here to support you in discovering those beliefs and to cheer you on along the way. I keep reading about the importance of community in the coming years, and I want you to know that you are part of my community, and I’m grateful to have you here.

Today, I want to reflect on how your Type and Strategy influenced your experiences in 2024. This reflection can help us identify a few things we can do differently (and better) moving forward and it can help us celebrate what we did well. I will provide some examples, and then I encourage you to reflect on your own experiences.

My examples

Type

I am a Generator. I am meant to work. It works best if it’s something I enjoy.

  • Needs Improvement: I have defined my Will Center, which allowed me to push through tasks/work my Sacral didn’t want to do, but this ultimately led to burnout. I undertook these tasks for a good reason, but I want to do better in 2025.
  • Did well: I found work that I enjoy and prioritized it while I was in the flow, instead of focusing on tasks I would have needed to push myself through.

Strategy

My Strategy is to respond to things (and not push).

  • Needs Improvement: I pushed on some projects in my business that didn’t really have a response component for me. I pushed to do them merely because I wanted them completed.
  • Did well: I’ve had others ask me yes/no questions when I need to make important decisions. I’ve also been postponing things that don’t instantly excite me, interpreting that as a “no” or “not right now.” Conversely, I’ve been embracing activities that excite me, and it’s been successful. Recently, I accepted an invitation for a trip with one of my kids, which led to many unexpected realizations that I will carry into my life and business.

I created a few reflections/questions for each Type.

Generator & Manifesting Generator

Type

Do you love your job? Do you have a hobby that you enjoy? Do you find fulfillment in volunteering? What about doing laundry or yard work—do you love those tasks? All of these activities can be considered “work.” Whether your answer is yes or no, what’s important is to reflect on how you feel about the work, especially if you dislike it but continue to do it. Consider how this impacts your well-being. If you don’t enjoy certain work, is there a way to delegate it to someone else or find alternatives to avoid it? On the other hand, if you love what you do, how can you engage in those activities even more?

Strategy

Do you have an example of a time when you strongly reacted positively or negatively to something that came from outside yourself? How did it turn out when you followed a positive gut feeling? And what happened when you experienced a negative sensation but chose to go through with it anyway? How do you feel when you assertively say “no, thanks” and decide to skip certain things that you are not interested in?

Projector

Type

Did you feel recognized for your unique talents? Were there specific moments when you truly felt seen and appreciated? Or, were there times when you felt overlooked? Do you know who your key supporters are? Have you discovered what motivates you? Reflect on where you received recognition naturally and where it felt forced. Consider what types of environments or people have been supportive of your gifts.

Strategy

Did you wait for requests for your insights before sharing your guidance or expertise? Were there moments you acted without an invitation, and how did that impact the outcome? Were you invited to something you were excited about – where you said yes, and it turned out well? In what situations did waiting for the right invitations lead to positive experiences? Conversely, where did a lack of invitation cause friction or burnout?

Reflector

Type

Did you absorb the energy of others and hold onto it, even though it may be better to release it? Or did you embrace each day’s surprise as you encountered new energy, allowing yourself to experience it and then let it go? Reflect on your surroundings—do the people, environment, and furniture in your home and workplace contribute to your well-being? Do you feel good in the communities you are part of?

Strategy

Did you take about a month or a moon cycle to consider important decisions? During that time, did you discuss your ideas with trusted people in your life? If you did wait, did you gain clarity by the end of the month? Did things turn out well, or did you rush into decisions too quickly, resulting in less favorable outcomes?

Manifestor

Type

Reflect on the moments when you took bold action and launched something new, even if it was met with resistance or uncertainty. Did you see any ripple effect of your actions? How did it feel to step fully into your initiating power? Did you feel free to create without waiting for others? Where did you feel most empowered to take action on your ideas? Or, were there times when you held yourself back because you were worried about what others think?

Strategy

Were there situations in which not informing others led to tension or misunderstandings? How effectively did you communicate with the people around you before you acted? Were there times when you failed to inform others, and how did that impact your relationships and outcomes? Or, were there instances where you communicated well, and as a result, things went more smoothly than expected?

I hope this demonstrates how you have been integrating your Human Design wisdom and insights into your life. It may also highlight areas where you can practice even more in 2025. Remember, it’s all an experiment, and the small efforts you make will add up, helping you become more and more aligned.
